Bataan, under the leadership of Governor Joet Garcia, has proudly secured the 10th position in the most recent Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI) rankings. This achievement places the province among the top-performing regions in the country, highlighting its growth across multiple sectors.
The CMCI rankings are based on five critical pillars: “Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and Innovation.” Bataan’s impressive rise in the rankings is attributed to the tireless efforts of the Provincial Government and the collaboration of the local government units of its municipalities and its lone city.
The province’s development has been spurred by initiatives aimed at stimulating the local economy, improving infrastructure, enhancing disaster response capabilities, and fostering innovation. Governor Garcia expressed deep gratitude for this recognition, crediting the unity and support of the people of Bataan. “This achievement was made possible through the trust, cooperation, and unwavering support of our fellow Bataeños, all of whom share our common goal of strengthening the province for the benefit of every family,” he stated.
This recognition, Garcia added, is a testament to Bataan’s commitment to progress and the continuous pursuit of excellence in governance and development. As the province moves forward, its leadership remains focused on maintaining this momentum, ensuring that Bataan remains resilient, innovative, and ready to meet the challenges of the future.
